During the past week we have received significant correspondence from customers relating to the coronavirus and possible impact on our supply chain and production facility, I therefore wanted to allay some of your concerns.
All of the Alfatronix products are manufactured here in the United Kingdom and while we source some raw materials from China, we have sufficient stock of these materials for ongoing production. At this moment in time, we do not foresee any issues with supply, however we are monitoring the situation and of course will contact you as soon as possible should a problem arise.
Some OEM customers have confirmed that they are working with full order books but can’t source components from China which has delayed their production. They are hopeful materials will begin to arrive from China and as such will be ramping up production to reduce lead times.
This in turn will see increases for demand for our USB and wireless charging products and therefore I would be grateful if you could kindly advise if your business is likely to experience the same. This would greatly assist in the planning of production and materials to ensure we can meet all demand when it is required.
Lastly, Alfatronix takes the safety and wellbeing of all staff, customers and suppliers seriously and have therefore suspended all overseas travel and considerably reduced our participation in any public events in attempt to keep everyone well, ensure the business continues to operate effectively and minimise the spread of the virus.
